The cans are 'better' than the draft!?!

Ha, sold! Considering how good that draft was (and I wasn't alone, their fastest selling draft ever) I think I'll have to buy some.

 

Shameful to admit I haven’t had one yet. It wasn’t on draft either. It’s been too damn hot for beer (okay, I did have two cans of the Hefe). I’ll dig in tonight!

 

Got 2 - 4 packs. This might be the closest to draft of all their cans, just perfect!

 

Sold! I was going to pick some up but totally spaced on its release last week.

Now the question…do I go tonight or wait until the weekend…how much is left…decisions.

 

They seemed to be selling quick last week. I snagged 8 cans too. They also brought it to the NoIPA Fest in RI last week.

All of the drinking establishments have their own liquor licenses vs the whole property having one. The arrangement was not well thought out.

Also, there was confusion on both ends regarding Super Bien. People who had wine glasses in the beer garden. And people with Notch glasses at Super Bien. Both parties had to be kindly reminded you can’t do that.

To be fair this is how Bow Market operates too. But for special occasions you can drink anywhere in Bow. I think Speedway will be the same. When they’ve had special events in the past I’ve been able to take my Notch beers anywhere.

 

Yeah, I think Chris said they can get an all venue permit like 3-4 times per year

 

I'll be the lone naysayer - French Disko is a fine beer, but it isn't blowing my doors off the way Alsace did a year and a half ago (sadly missed this year's go-round). To be fair I haven't been in as much of a pilsner mood lately.

 

Batch 1 of Biere d’Alsace touched the sun. An all-time great lager.

 

It's ok, we all have different favorites and palates. For example, I liked this latest French Pils better than Alsace batch 1 or 2. Alsace never knocked my socks off.

I had a can last night, really good, not quite as good as the draft I had...but I had also already had a couple beers.

 

Speaking of that, Who Loves the Sun kicked last night. I know you dig that one, so figured I'd give you a heads up.

 

I bet this will be one of those special permit days.
