Nova dark beer fest

Also, even as long as 18+ months ago, several guys at Nova openly talked a lot of shit about TG. I used to go there quite a bit and heard it regularly. Not sure if that's related, but at the very least I'm sure it was indicative of some ill feelings and couldn't have helped things.

 

I kinda feel like this thread is devolving into a soap opera.

I agree. TG really helped Casanova. I used to drive there for TG but I've only been to Casanova a few times since TG came to MN. Besides New Glarus there is no necessary reason to go to Casanova any longer unless I want a growler filled. Most of the Casanova prices were $1-3 dollars more than MN prices. Unless I'm going through Hudson I don't go to Casanova any longer.

 

Casanova still gets alot of stuff that we simply don't see in MN. It's still well worth crossing the boarder for IMO

 

Off topic, but still oddly on topic...?..but has anyone seen any HopSmack bombers still around? I cracked one up this past week and fell in love. I highly doubt it's still out there, but I'd like to at least try.

Just left nova, asked the friendly gentleman at the counter about the fest and he said tg is in. Surly as well. Didn't mention any other brewery by name but said he'd have verticals of bcbs, abraxas, kbs.

 

Tears are what these kind of events usually devolve to.

 

Just got my tickets, hope it's a great lineup.

 

Are events like this always so secretive? I went in and tried to talk with multiple staff members without luck. I asked if rare meant beers like Darkness and BCBS, or more rare like verticals of those beers, or super rare like verticals of variants and they said "not sure yet."

I even asked what type of food and they said "not sure yet."

I went to their summer cave beer fest and loved it, but I'm not liking the responses and attitudes I'm getting. It's making the $75 ticket a really tough purchase for me.

The guy I talked to must have been in charge. He seemed very knowledgeable. He asked me about my j wakefield growler I was getting filled up and we chatted about them, beer trading, and then the dark beer fest.

Maybe the guys working the register just don't have the details yet?

 

I got tickets yesterday for a myself and a few friends. They said they had about 30 tickets left. I'm excited as this will be my first "fest"
