Probably for Regal Rye and Barleywine you can. But, I would blame GI for that - they know how it works and they didn't get it done. Could be ABV issues for all we know like Cantillon.

Just not feeling GI black friday this year.. last year was up in Dallas and stood in line real early at the Specs Release party then hit up a few other stores and brought back a good amount of stuff.

This year I am going to sleep in, wake up, and drink while brewing... Guess I will hit up Defalco's tomorrow for ingredients. This will be way cheaper and more relaxing

you guys have fun.. I will watch the tweets and instgram pics throughout the morning.

Approvals for all of the beers came through this morning - Regal, BCBS, Barleywine, and Rare. Still only are going to be having Rare and BCBS at the events.

That's got to be a burn, getting the approvals as last minute as you can get.

Per Mueller: Goose had decided not to ship into Texas UNTIL TABC approval. I doubt the beer will get here in time for Friday.

Maybe MillerCoors was trying to flood them with Henry Hard Soda labels as sabotage.

Wait...they are now saying there won't be any?

Take that back, look like Mueller is still going to be selling the two. I find it odd that they held up some and not the others...considering that they all got approval at the same time. And that coffee has been approved for a month already.

It is GI doing it to themselves, they knew the process and probably just submitted them too late.

Anyone know when FW XIX is going to hit stores? I didn't hear about any of it being released today.

Add Regal and Barleywine to that list...since it got approved late, anyone know when it will hit shelves around DFW?

FWIW, Whole Foods in Austin was telling me yesterday that they *MIGHT* get the rest of the variants on Tuesday. It was said like if things worked as expected, that would happen, but you never know with distribution.

That was approved quite awhile ago.

The Goose Island rep in Houston said no coffee to Texas yet because coffee, Regal, and barleywine all get shipped on the same truck/mixed pallets and so coffee wouldn't come until the other variants did.

Any word on Xocoveza? Stone's locator says it's already available in Austin/TX but I haven't seen it anywhere.

For those in Houston, check out 11 Below's Negative Space. It's a milk stout brewed with cocoa nibs, chiles and cinnamon. I like that as a new brewery they put out a stout that nobody else in Houston has brewed yet (at least to my knowledge). I hope more Houston breweries follow suit and continue to experiment.

I have been very happy with both 11 Below and B-52's output. Welcome additions to the Houston Scene.
