So I was doing a tasting/review of two very fine IPAs (Pliny the Elder/Stone Ruination 10th Anniversary) but the thing that I can't get off my mind is that I put them in seperate glasses and drank them together with my meal.

I was wondering if this would affect the tasting because the Stone was soooo strong with 11% alc vol that it would leave the Pliny tasting just like it. So was this a bad idea for tasting? Any help would be appreciated.

Doing the tasting w/ the meal was probably not the best idea. Next time, eat first, cleanse your palate, drink the Pliny, then drink the Ruination.
