Nugget Nectar has landed

It landed in Syracuse on Monday. I'm told allocations are tight so get it when you see it if you want it.

 

Shop Rite Liquors in Westfield sold 35 cases in about 2 days! They asked that people limit their purchases to 1 case.

 

Landed around here on Tuesday. Had my first ones yday and they are sooooo much better than last year.

And yes, I know I am doing it wrong, supposed to say it's a shadow of its former self haha.

 

I just might be those stores or your area- I've seen it in a number of places this past week up here by the NY border, usually at $12-13 a sixer.

I just picked up a bomber, too, mostly because I wanted to compare dates. I'd put the 1/28 sixer I got in the B+ range and the bomber was from 1/31 (haven't popped it yet, though.)

Maybe the snow has impacted deliveries for now, but I always assume that the first shipment won't be the last one with this beer.

 

For the NYC folks... Foodtown of Harlem has a bunch. You would think this would mean it's hitting lower Manhattan soon.

 

I stopped in Beers of the World at lunch and they had some there ... only like 4 or 5 cases.

 

WFs all over NYC got it in today! Picked up a 6pk at Union Sq

 

Whaaat? I was just at WF Chelsea and he said next week. Guess I'll make a trip down to Bowery tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up

 

Any change to the status of NN at WF Chelsea yet?

 

Just talked to the man...not in yet, but maybe by the end of the day if the truck gets there. Tomorrow the latest, but he seems optimistic about it getting there tonight. If you're going and you don't see it, ask him, he's an affable/friendly guy.

Chelsea WF has NN! Only 2 sixers in the cold case when I was there (around 5:30), I grabbed one. Also grabbed the only bottle of Andechs doppelbock left on the shelf—a really nice bonus find!

 

Yup, the Nectar is only 14 days old which is nice. The ones I had last night (not from WF) were awesome.

On an aside, they just got Long Trail Limbo, a little more than a month old, only $9.99. First time I've seen it anywhere. Looking forward to trying it.

 

They have more I assume on the floor? I'll grab some in the AM on my way to work.

Limbo IPA is tasty, esp for a Long Trail beer.

 

Saw none on the floor. That might have changed since yesterday though. Had to ask the beer guy if they had it in. He pointed out the 2 remaining sixers pushed toward the back of the cold case which I'd overlooked.

 

Ah thought that was posted tonight. Went there yesterday around 8 and didn't see any on floor or cooler.

 

It was ALL gone yesterday!

 

Is it all that rare in NY that we have to worry? If there is tons of it already on Long Island and already close to being in Fairway I have to believe we will get tons. Same concern on Hopslam and now tons of it around me on LI (and Fairway).

 

Probably not... i am just having a tough week at work so wont be home before my shop closes, will be away this weekend and then away on work to Florida next week, so wanted to try and grab some in the city on the way to the office.
