I know this beer has fallen out of favor among some & been lost in the shuffle, but I always enjoy it the early part of every year.

I was told by the Troegs rep that it will be in the hands of distributors in MA by 1/13. Some may choose not to release to retail by the "official" 1/18 date.

Would appreciate if anyone sees this at shops to post here. As usual with hoppy beers, fresh is better so I'm looking to grab some on the early side.

Ahhh remember loving this each year for quite some time. Might be a good re visit to the amber world again sometime.

Guessing my usual (Fifth Ave in Framingham) won't have it before next Tuesday - that;s when their shipments come in, no matter when the "official" release is.

Picked up my first 4-pack yesterday @ Olde Towne in Burlington. Tastes terrific as usual.

Seems to be getting out to many stores via quick glance at social media.

A pile of 4-pack cans of NN at Wegmans Westwood yesterday, along with plenty of 6-packs of Hopslam bottles, the other primary post-Xmas release.

Was in Danvers so grabbed a 4pk at TW.

The smell of the hops as I poured it was magnificent.

    man this tastes lovely

Had it during the first football game today and it was a great pint. Along with Celebration, it's good to have a hoppy beer that doesn't have to advertise with a super hazy appearance "I AM AN IPA DAMMIT!" Who knows, it may be a Vienna lager, might be a hoppy amber beer, let's figure this out by aroma and flavor...

Lovely balance to it. I look forward to finding this year's iteration.

Grabbed some yesterday at Julios. Good year for it. Nice hop to it, but a solid malt backbone. I miss that kind of IPA sometimes. (I know NN is called a hoppy / imperial amber...)

Very much looking forward to trying mine tomorrow! You guys have got me excited. Also haven't seen it mentioned yet so I'll add I always think it is one of the prettiest colored beers around as well.

agreed. Just finishing the last sip in my glass - and it still has that nice amber color to it.
honestly I can't compare year to year - I've had way too much beer in the meantime, but at least the batch that I have is a great beer. Again, it's not a hazy juice bomb - IT'S NOT MEANT TO BE!!!! but it's a solid, old-school IPA, in the guise of an Imperial Amber.
