I'm leaning towards cans these days, loving the 16 oz Abrasives, and heady in a tallboy don't suck, and just got some Lawson's sip of sunshine in tallboys today too.

Extra 4 oz is what my belly and dome like too!

So your interpretation of Occam's razor is that the simplest explanation of the many long time beer advocates' opinion of a one particular beer changing is many people's palates have changed specifically causing them to call out this specific beer over any others. That is fine. My take on Occam's razor is this, the brewery relocated, and now Nugget Nectar tastes different, seems just as simple as yours. Looking forward to trying it this year, starting with one bottle.

You said pre-2010, and the first batch at the new brewery location would have been the early 2012 version I believe.

My statement really was not just about Nugget Nectar. The "this year's batch doesn't seem as good" statement gets thrown around the Beer Advocate forums all the time, about a ton of different beers. Across many beers, the common thread is the drinkers.

Just picked up a 6 pack of bottles at the place in East Brunswick, used to be called Marketplace Wine and Spirits, not sure of new name...

Whole Foods Chelsea (NYC) has it. It's not on display, you have to ask for it. Bottles only for now.

I often say that beers that used to stand out don't anymore (Hoslam, ahem) due to other breweries stepping up their game. I'm just saying that it's ok to say that you don't like a beer as much as you used to. Speaking for myself, I know for a fact that it's usually me that's changed. I remember Harpoon, my first IPA, tasted bitter as hell (in a good way). Dales Pale used to be super hoppy to me. I have noticed, however, batch variation quality issues with Nugget Nectar. Still like it though.

Someone else said pre 2010, not me. I just agree that at some point in the past I went from loving to really disliking it, which is in contrast to Hopslam, Pliny, Celebration, Dale's and all the other beers people have been referencing about changing tastes which I still enjoy and have been drinking for many years.

I agree that palates can change, but I don't think my sense of smell disappeared. The nose on this beer used to be great and now it's non-existent which is a shame because I thought they knocked it out of the park with the hop knife aroma.

Was at Garys in Wayne today. Got a 4 pack of cans. Was in the back and had to ask. They are also doing some 20% off all craft beer for the superbowl. nugget nectar was 9.60 + tax and the cans where even cheaper.

Good beer, but shocked some places are keeping this in the back like they didn't get numerous cases. Like its a fine beer, but the hype is unreal.
