Nugget Nectar Sightings in MA

So I went back to this place last weekend. Selection wasn't too great as you indicated, but they were still brimming with the Nectar. Prices are solid

 

The hops gradually fade by the day, so it definitely won't taste identical after a couple of weeks. But it shouldn't taste like a completely different beer after a week - I think a lot of the difference is the taste of that first beer after the excitement of waiting a year for NN gives it "extra flavor". NN tends to get awfully hyped up to something more than it is - a nice hoppy Amber IPA. Thus I think it's easy to get blown away on the first of the year and then fall back to earth a bit on subsequent bottles once your palate adjusts. FWIW I notice much of the same thing myself every year.

I was into Nugget Nectar before it was cool. Another great beer obsessed into rarity.

Picked up a case today at Julio's. There were about 5 left.

 

Bauer's on Newbury St just got their shipment in. $12.99/6 pack, limit 1 per customer. Owner wouldn't give me exact details on how much in stock, but they expect to sell out within a couple days.

 

Just arrived at Kappy's in Falmouth. Fresh batch, bottled one week ago. Limit of one case per customer ... yes, I said case, not six pack.

 

I can imagine that this beer is nothing but a complete pain in the ass to the craft beer retailer.

 

In the last couple of years, it wasn't anything like this. First load came and went quickly, and then it was plentiful everywhere. I still think you'll see it around more frequently in the next week or so.

 

Wegmans in Northborough has some for those still looking.

 

Yeah, because selling products without any advertising that sell out within days is such a burden.

I picked up a six at Liquors 44 in Hadley this afternoon, there was at least on left. The guy at the counter said some nimrod came in yesterday who saw it and wanted it all, he left with 3 cases. See the hoarding thread.

 

There were still about 5 cases at least last night at Wine Nation in Millbury. Not sure if they had more hiding else where but you might still be able to find some there

 

Really? Has anyone that wanted to buy Nugget Nectar been unable to find some? Been very easy to pickup in my experience
