Just wanted to start a thread for the release this weekend. First time attending a release at WBC wondering if anyone had any good tips/information on how their releases go?

This is their third bottle release. first one was real tame, able to sit down to eat lunch and wait for the line to die then walked right up and got my allotment. Second release was brutes quad which is still available for sale at the brewery, the wife, inlaws, and myself were the line. I have no idea what to expect from this one as, I'm sure it goes without saying, but smasher has become quite the hit. That would be awesome if it was somewhat tame again but it's really hard to say

Parking might be a bit of issue depending on the turnout so allot time for that. Parking lot will fill up quick but parking will be free on the street since it's Sunday. How about a discreet bottle share in line?

Nope, it's illegal and, if there is an issue, you'll get an open container ticket and possibly compromise future releases. Willoughby isn't a big city and the cops don't have anything better to do.

I showed up about 45 min early for the last nut smasher release and was second in line. I really hope that Sunday will be similar but I highly doubt it

I planned on starting the day by bonging a Dark Lord and stomping on the American flag.

My only other pair are camo cargo shorts, so there's a 50% chance depending on what clothes I pass out in (ill be drinking busch all night the previous day).

This reminds.me of the time people stood in line for over and hour waiting for the hop juju release.

Standing in line for hours in the rain sounds like a good time. smh

Sold out before the line was through despite the rain.

All you had to do was bring a beer to share with the people up front and you went right to the front of the line.

Shout out my homie @jampics2. I brought some KBS, Rapp BBA English Barleywine, & Kuhnhenn BBA Barleywine. Amazing share with great dudes before a very smooth bottle release. Tons of glassware & bottles to be had, and I only saw one 'greedy' individual go for another round of bottles and he was reprimanded quite sternly from Rick the Brewmaster.

Well run event in my opinion. Organized lines and payment systems. Yeah, the rain sucked a little, but that changed nothing for me. I have reaffirmed, however, that their beers aged on oak taste like straight up finger nail polish remover or something. I'm glad they do Nut Smasher and PB Cup Coffee Porter on a near perfect level in my mind. All of their other offerings have been mediocre at best to be.

This kind of stuff used to be frowned upon, but I guess things are different these days. Actually, I know they are different, but no skin off me arse.

Don't get things confused. This is still frowned upon. Having beer to share in an environment where it was already stated multiple times that sharing wasn't allowed in order to "buy" a spot in line is a dickhead move. If any of you on here did that, I would like to personally let you know I think you're an asshole and everything that is wrong with what should be just a fun hobby. The sense of entitlement in the beer game just blows my mind.

Well, it's a good thing I don't go to these things anymore, because I'm the 'asshole' that would say something. Good post, Eric.
