Got there an hour early. When we got our bottles there were 3-packs left for about 50 people. And as noted earlier there definitely wasn't enough for all those in line. Seems like most stayed after getting bottles to eat and/or drink on draft as well. Was delicious on draft. Pretty smooth release besides the on/off spitting rain outside.

I hate to call people out, but there was a couple who both joined the share late in the game which was annoying. Yellow shirt lady showed up at 10:55 to join her guy who just pushed pass people earlier. She pushed us out of the way and we had been waiting since 9am and was probably in the first 8 people to buy bottles. So if I show up five minutes before with a bottle in my hand I get first dibs?

Yeah I wish I would have known to bring a commodore perry so I could just go right to the front of the line

Somebody should have called Willoughby Police, since they have nothing better to do.

Best part was the empty bottles left on the table 10 feet away from the trash can. No worries, the head brewer was kind enough to clean it up

Those empty bottles sitting on that table by the trash was an embarrassing sight to see.

I was going to go to this and could not make it but now I am glad I did not go cause I would have been so pissed if I did not get a bottle. I was not going to show up a hour early either

Nah it wasn't really like that. Most of the group doing the bottle share where there first anyways. It was only a few that seemed to get there later on and still get to the front. Really smooth release and great food. The line really started to form as early as 915-930

I think the one couple mentioned above was the only late-joiner to the party. Everyone else sharing was there by 930. Rick brought out a bottle of Brutes Quad for the share and was all smiles except for the incident with the greedy gentleman in line.

Being one of the first people in the non-bottle share line, I can say this happened a couple more times than once. Quite a few actually.

I just think it was a bad setup for this. If you knew there was a bottle share and brought a bottle to share (even if it was Commodore Perry), you could go into (what I heard one girl call it) "the VIP club". I mean, you probably just could have walked in there and grabbed a plastic cup and started drinking other people's beer and snagged some sweet spots in the front (yellow shirt lady?)

Overall, I think it was a good and non-stressful experience. My biggest gripe was the lack of wait staff for the couple hundred people that were trying to eat/drink at the same time. Not saying the ones that were there did a bad job, I'm just saying, there could have been about 10 more of them.

Also, for future bottle share participates - probably not a good idea to open an 18% DFG beer at 10:58, 2 minutes before you are about to go to buy and consume beer. That's just my opinion though.

There was plenty of room on the patio, couldn't understand why people were waiting in line at the wrong door

Shunning someone for their lack of knowledge about what to bring to a bottle share is a bit harsh don't you think? I dont think anyone was anything less than genuine in what they offered to likeminded strangers. Their were some fantastic beers being shared FWIW.

I showed up at 11 and got shut out... I was able to run into an old acquaintance whom was willing to part ways with a bottle at double the price. I rarely do this, however since I won a brutes quad in the raffle, I figured I could justify it. Plus I really wanted a bottle since I had already waited in the rain. Drank quite a few on tap. delicious.

At one point I offered $30 a bottle to some one. She said "$100 or a bottle of Hunahpu" Haha!

Personally, I think bottle shares are a great way to meet new people and taste different beers. However, the primary purpose for yesterday was the bottle release with the bottle share being secondary to that. With that being said, if you arrived "late" and elected to make the bottle share your priority (i.e. cut in line to drink beer), than you should have went back to your original spot in line once the release started. It amazes me how adults teach children not to cut in line as it discourteous to others and socially unacceptable, but yet it is okay for them to do it if they think they can get away with it. Typically, the craft beer community has a little more class that what was exhibited yesterday.

We just happened to be waiting under cover where said door was and the line formed behind us. I actually have no problem with the original people who were sharing under the tent. What I do have a problem is with the 20 or so people who cut in front of 75-200 people and expected to then be at the front of line just because they were drinking beer. They should have gone back to their space in line or the back of it like a civilized person. The people could have been more respectable and not getting visibly intoxicated and cleaned up their own mess.

This pretty much sums up BA entitlement. Dont want to put in the time but expects the same result as others that do.

I thought it was great that some of the folks that got shut out stuck around and still enjoyed the amazing taplist while also buying cans of Hazy Days (which is a great beer). Nice that they still supported WBC. Others also stomped off when they were told it was gone...
