Kind of glad I was out of town for this. Had I not been, I doubt I would have gotten there any earlier than 1030 which by the looks of it would have been a no-go.

Hypothetical question: If you stepped up to the counter and there were only three bottles left, would you take your full allotment or settle for a bottle or two and allow whomever is behind you to get some? Personally, even if I was up and there were 7-8 left it would be hard for me to take more than two.

Happened to me this year at GLBC for BA Blackout release. I could have grabbed the last case in the gift shop but ended up buying 8 beers so folks behind me wouldn't walk away empty handed. Good beers are meant to be shared, I wish everyone else had the same philosophy.

I was probably about 60-75 deep in the line as I arrived around 9:30am. I knew people at the front sharing, and was asked/invited to partake. I opted to stand with the rest of the people I was with and wait to get my allotment as I thought it to be the right thing to do. Even if I did go and have some beers with those that were sharing (which was specifically or supposedly going to be frowned upon yet seemed to be allowed by the Head Brew Master after the fact...) I would have made my way back to the group I was with.

I heard rumblings of someone jumping back in line for seconds... Anyone know who it was or what they looked like? I thought I saw an individual heading back out with more bottles, but didn't hear anything about this until later last night.

All in all, it was well done and was a good time despite the crappy weather. WBC did a great job as they always do. These events are only going to get bigger and bigger as the love of this beer spreads.

I am not comfortable calling that person out by name, but he knows who he is. Rick reprimanded him in front of the whole bar and his wife and I think that's enough.

After getting my bottles and getting my pour of Nutsmasher I went back outside to check out the line and bottles were sold out by then (11:30?), so I just sat back down at the bar.

I am pretty sure I know who it was. Pretty shady thing to pull. Especially when people were getting shut out.

That was way to easy...hoping the wife and I can enjoy lunch without too much craziness. Either way I'm sure it will all work out. Lunch out while the grandparents watch the kids is always a treat for us!

got those very easily. From what I've heard about past lines... SOme people will be quite disappointed when they hear about this for the first time a few days from now and can't go to get bottles lol. Sucks for them I guess

I didn't even have to have multiple computers going (like for most of the concerts I go to), so very easy.

Got our tickets for session #2! Glad it's ticketed, so it shouldn't be a cluster.

I'm wondering what the guest taps are going to be? I guess I'll just be surprised when I arrive there. Really looking forward to this!

I was not looking forward to this process but was much easier than I was anticipating.

Between hoof and willoughby I'm really digging these ticket releases. So smooth and easy and it makes sure nobody leaves empty handed (unless your stupid enough to show up without a ticket).

Super smooth and easy. Just a tip, but if you plan on eating there and hanging out for a while, reserve a table on Open Table now. Not sure if it will be crazy busy, but it'll be nice to not have to worry about seating.

This is a great idea, I wonder if they will honor the table reservations if the whole place gets booked up three weeks in advance lol

If not there are plenty of places to have lunch in the area. I'm not to interested in drinking a bunch of beers on a Sunday afternoon. If it's super busy some lucky neck beard will have 2 extra $5 coupons towards drinks/food.

I imagine they will honor the reservations. Otherwise, they wouldn't be called "reservations".
