I second this. @GreatGazoo reached out to me and offered to send me a DB Cake for free when he saw I was one of the victims of that resealing/rewaxing/fill rare beers with homebrew clown. Ignore his join date, he epitomizes generosity.

 

I'd say based on my trade for a 2nd one, you non-Chicago fans are either 1) not reading all the offers for this beer or 2) not contacting the people that have them and seeing if they'll trade for something else that may be more reasonable. But I do understand it's easier to just post snarky comments.

 

You are obviously aware of the thread on Page 2 with closed deals, since you posted in it (and the Masterpiece thread it references that you posted in as well). I posted earlier in this thread with what I traded for my first bottle, which I'm sure you read. My second bottle was very close to the first. So you are obviously following the trades for the bottle and if you think any of those are not reasonable, then we definitely have very different opinions.

I can't tell if you are actually looking for a bottle or just commenting on other people's trades. But if you are looking, then all I can say is keep checking and reach out to people. You never know what people will take unless you ask.
