Driving down to Georgia for a wedding this weekend but I'm staying northwest of Atlanta in the Kennesaw/Marietta area. Any good craft beer bars and/or bottle shops to check out in that area? Looking for a place to buy some local favorites to bring home as well as somewhere to grab lunch and a few brews the day before the wedding. Thanks in advance!

that is where I typically go when over there. Ask someone to take you in the back. They tend to have some better bottles in the back and not on the shelf.

Schoolhouse in Marietta is a nice bottle shop, but I think they seperate everything into singles. There's also a total wine in kennesaw and a sherlocks close to the total wine that has a good selection.

A few places stand out. In downtown Kennesaw is Trackside. Out on Chastain rd is a Taco Mac (regional chain with alot of beer). In downtown Marietta is a joint called McCracken's that has a ton of beer. Store wise.. all above are good. growler stores are around. Wise Owl, Moondogs, Schoolhouse,Dogwood, Barrel and Barley.

You might even find some Burnt Hickory on draft. Scott was too modest to mention that. If you do, go for it.

Sherlocks or Total should prove adequate for filling your quota.

and if time permits, this sounds worth checking out on Sat. or Sunday:
ChalkFest is a weekend-long chalk art festival in Marietta. Forty-five contracted, professional chalk artists from all over the country will be creating larger than life works live. The public is welcome to participate in the annual juried chalk art competition. There will also be a separate area for young children who want to draw with chalk but don't want to compete in the competition. ChalkFest takes place in and around Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art and historic Marietta Square.
