Anyone headed to an event next couple of days? I was considering either aporkalypse or dba's cask event.
I got tickets for the Kick Ass Beer Event dinner at alewife (http://kickassbeer-eorg.eventbrite.com/) and will be going to the Founders event on next Saturday at 4th Ave Pub (KBS!). Might head over to Mug's for their Split Thy Skull event after that.
Todd and I will be in Brooklyn Feb 28th - Mar 2nd ... I am sure we'll stumble upon a happening here and there.
caught day 1 of the cask festival at DBA (508 & Adnams EPA's were king), then up to third ave ale house for the P'skill event (Amazeballs, Eastern Standard, Shotgun Willie...) not sure what the week will bring but definitely doing the brewers choice at city winery Wednesday night...
Alewife...thank you for not overselling the event. Pork was a let down, was expecting 10 different presentations, it was more like 4 different stations to get shredded pork. Stand out by far was Barrier all around, IPA w/pineapple was awesome. Split thy Skull was packed, should have gone before 12 like last year and got a table BUT I did finally taste a wild I eally liked!!! Birrifico Dexi Z, very complex, great beer.
Alewife was cool. Food vendors got there late though. Also expected a lot more varieties. The pulled pork was great. Best beer there was a homebrew porter. Went to the founders event at 4th ave pub. Missed the kbs but wasn't expecting to get it.
