NY gets Not your father's root beer

    Shoreline in Huntington had a bunch when I picked some up on Tuesday. I'm not a fan, but glad to finally try it.

    Same here. Glad I tried it but tastes nothing like a beer. And if I wanted a root beer, I'll just have a root beer. Was a little on the sweet side as well.

    If one likes root beer, not sure how they would not like this. Agree it "does not taste like beer" but there are a lot of other beers out there that fall into that camp. Smells and tastes just like one would expect. Got a six-pack, doubtful will get anymore as not something you really drink frequently.

    While i was leaving work yesterday I stopped in the Duane Reade under Rockefeller Center and there were at least 10-12 cases of it just sitting there. 12.99 for a six pack.

    Didn't realize that these guys are distributed by Pabst. Doesn't change the fact that it's a solid choice, but it feels a little more gimmicky knowing that.
