Cooper's on 2nd ave is almost exactly in the middle of Fool's Gold and Proletariat. They always has a good selection of taps which are regularly updated on beermenus and they have a full bar. Tons of good easy casual food in the area. Taqueria Diana, Empellon al pastor, San loco (better version of taco bell), Bahn mi zon, and Crif dogs are just a couple of places off the top of my head.

Drop off service is a little out of the way but always had some good local beer on tap.

My go-to crawl is to take the Path train and get off at Christopher Street, then hit the following bars - Blind Tiger, Swift Hiberian Lounge, Burp Castle, Jimmys No 43, Proletariat..If that's not enough then you can head over to Fools Gold and One Mile House.

seconding coopers as an option between prole and fools gold - theyve always got a few nice options.
