Tons of event options listed: https://www.nycbrewed.com/beer-week-events-2020 Thought I’d start a thread in the event folks want to add, subtract, comment, instigate meet ups, etc.
Curious to try Dancing Gnome beers. Looks like a couple chances to do that. Any other out of market breweries catch anyone’s eye? Civil Society’s stuff is pretty solid for those not familiar with them (especially for a FL brewery (add winking emoji here)).
If you’re into NEIPA, I’ve heard nothing but great things about Vitamin Sea and they’ve never been in the city before.
Good call. I’ve tried their beer, but not often, and didn’t manage to get to the brewery in my MA days.
Is there anything at any other bars not listed? Trying to see if there is something going on i can swing by downtown somewhere
There are events not on that site, perhaps they aren't deemed "official" I would check social media for breweries and bars
Hey not sure if this is the place to post but I feel like wishing the past few months I saw a lot of people posting about a new beer bar in the city that’s doing some events for beer week anyone know what I might be talking about.
I was about to pull the trigger on last min tickets for Opening Bash tonight since my evening opened up but noticed they are $80 without the fees and service charges. The first year when I went the tickets were $50 and to be honest, the event wasn’t that great. Half the breweries ran out of beer well before the session was over. I suspect they ironed this out over the past few years but still, what’s with that price increase.
Same thought about maybe going since I’m off today and couldn’t see paying that much for mostly local stuff you can get already. $50-60 ok but not $80-100
Not an official event, but Owl Farm looks to have a nice selection of draft beers from some of the visiting breweries. Thinking of heading over there.

I went that first year too and decided not to go back again. It just doesn't make sense to go to an all NY beer event. I am certain you could take $80 to any decent bar and have a much better time.
This was the opening bash tap list. Hopefully this took away any FOMO anyone who might have had for missing out: http://imgur.com/a/K1Uh8b8
Just got home from "Caskalot" at Fifth Hammer, where they had 16 different beers from around the city all on cask... and my goodness if that's not the best brewery event I've been to in such a long time. Evidently this is year two, I missed last year, and it will be an annual event... and I will not miss it next year. Can't say enough about how fun it was
