NYC beer week-lets talk!

I'm going to the Brewer's Choice and also the Winter's Grind event.

 

I'm gonna do the Black Chocolate 21st Anniversary and the Brewers Choice.

 

Last year's Brewer's Choice was a shadow of it's former self. Hopefully it pulls it together this year.

 

Not a fan of the venue (which is the same this year). Had none of the charm of the previous years. Just felt like a lower rate experience from previous years. Food was meh and harder to get. But the beers were still great, and flowing and all the brewers were cool and eager to engage, which is really the point. So maybe the fact that it was a bone chilling day just affected me. Either way, still going again this year.

 

Will be going to the barrel aged week event

 

I've never done any of these events before. I won't be around opening weekend but would like to do something during the week.

If you could recommend 1 event, preferably in Manhattan, what would it be?

Getting in to NYC on Feb. 25th. Looks like I'll miss all the good events. Or is there something anyone would recommend?

15 of the best home brewers plus 10 good local breweries. Plus all you can eat sausages.

 

I read that. But was curious if you knew any specific beers. Bummer that OH and Grimm aren't mentioned/won't be in attendance.

 

Yeah sorry no clue. But I went last year and it was a good time. Except for the bathroom line situation.

 

Appreciate man. I'll try to make it. All you can eat and drink sounds like trouble.

 

Anyone know where the comprehensive listing of events can be found? The NYC Brewers Guild website won't load on my work computer. Argh!

 

NYC Brewers Guild site is unfortunately the best resource, but is kinda buggy
