    Hey fellow BAs:
Heading to NYC late OCT and staying in the Financial Dist. Looking for craft brew restaurants/bars along the train route to MSG. Will also be hitting Other Half, but if there's a place that features their brew along the route, that would also be welcomed info. I checked recent threads but come up empty. If I missed, please post.
    Cheers!
    Dan

If I was on that mission I would probably hit Beer Run first, Milk and Hops Chelsea after, and post up at Haymaker until it's MSG time. If you have a lot of time you can always mix in GingerMan.

There is only one real answer for good bars near MSG. Haymaker as @Vizualize stated above. You’re going to get quite a few responses and I bet 95% of them recommend Haymaker. I just recommend getting there prior to 430/500pm when people start getting off work because it does get crowded and you’ll want a bar spot (if you are talking about weekend then disregard).

How much time will you have that day? If you have plenty of time definitely do Milk and Hops. Also I highly recommend making a stop at Blind Tiger as it is one of the original NYC beer bars and always has a stellar tap list. That is definitely one bar you want to go to early though.

I also like Cooper's Craft and Kitchen, which isn't too far of a walk from Milk and Hops. They usually keep their Beermenus page up to date, too, like most of the places listed so far.

Not on the way to MSG, but if you’re looking for beer bars in FiDi I recommend you check out the following places. 1 and 2 are probably all you need. I really like the pub food at Malt House.

    1. Fraunce’s Tavern
    2. Clinton Hall
    3. Malt House
    4. Underdog
    5. Treadwell

Oh no worries. The game was over 5 minutes in.

    And I’m a die-hard Jets fan.

@CaptCleveland - Just some info on Fraunces Tavern to give you help and context: It's not a craft bar dating back to 2014. It's a historic location that was once the headquarters of George Washington. Yep, you can also get Tired Hands there, but just know what it is before going in. It has multiple bars with different taps scattered throughout, so if you go, make sure you get a lay of the land inside first.

So far we have hit Other Half, right from LaGuardia on Thursday. Haymaker’s for beer and dinner. Today, Upright and Fraunces. Tomorrow Grimm and back to OH. Thanks to all. Met a bunch of locals who were also very generous with advice. Love NYC!

Damn. I live around here and you’re making me jealous. That’s a hell of a lineup. Make sure you get some cans of Tesseract at Grimm tomorrow. In fact, buy as much of it as you possibly can. You’ll thank me when you’re back in Cleveland. Pick up the Double Negative too. One of my favorite impy stouts.
