I’ve been looking out for Märzens in NYC about the last month or so, without much luck. Most years a few bars get a chunk by mid-August (City Swiggers, the late City Hops, Astoria Bier & Cheese). So far this year, I’ve come up empty-handed - the only can I’ve found was at Beer Witch, the Sierra Nevada version. Anyone had better luck Märzen hunting this year? Just wondering if there are some bars where people might have had success that I’ve missed. Thanks!
Drowned lands released a marzen last year called willow that I thought was really nice. I'm assuming they'll brew it again this year.
I haven’t seen any around NYC yet either. Beermenus pulled up a few spots with Jacks Abbys Copper Legend, so I’m going to hunt for that today. I believe most of the smaller local breweries haven’t brewed their marzens yet, just the regionals. I’ve yet to find a reliable spot for imports since moving to the city (total wine being my go-to in the past for things like that). Curious if anyone has any tips
I saw Interboro just released a Fest bier. Threes just released their oak-aged Märzen and their store has the Schilling Austrian-styled Märzen too.
