NYC weekend - Craft beer bars

Seriously though NYC is a big city, if you just want the most choices Ginger Man and Rattle in Midtown have tons of beers but there are definitely places with better vibes and great lists elsewhere. Also probably makes a difference how you are getting around.

 

Definitely hit up Other Half Brewing.

Largest tap lists: Ginger Man, Rattle N Hum (two locations). Close by are also District Tap House and Beer Authority (which people seem to dislike).

Smaller, but well curated tap lists: Jeffrey, Torst, Proletariat ... really this list is kinda endless.

Also, the above is not meant to suggest that Ginger Man and RnH do not have well-curated lists ... they are excellent.

 

Augurs Well is often overlooked on the list of best beer bars but it is an awesome place with an awesome draft list

 

Cooper's and Fools Gold.

 

If you are downtown, Fools Gold and One Mile House are within a short walk of each other and both always have great tap lists. Almost every time I've been to Fools Gold in the past few months I have seen at least one HF beer on tap. OMH is small-ish but a nice vibe. I'm also a big fan of Proletariat, Jeffrey, Coopers (only been to the one 2nd but they have several locations) and Gingerman.

 

Gingerman,pony bar, and blind tiger are my goto's in Manhattan! Brooklyn should be checked out if you want to get out and about.....if anyone is flying in through LA Guardia stop at singlecut beersmiths......best hoppy stuff you will find in town besides the hf/carton if you can find it!

 

Good beer in east village for to go beer and eataly? Bierria? Spelling off but awesome experience worth checking rooftop bar out and grab a pint and pay for the scene!
