Can you guys help me out here. Don't know much about what's good in bottleshops out on the East coast, specifically NYC area. Can you just list breweries and some of the more exceptional beers that are year rounds and limiteds that might pop up throughout the year? Stuck on west coast knowledge here and need to advise a transplant.

Seekabrew can help. For bottle shops in Manhattan, try Top Hops, Good Beer, WF Bowery/Columbus Circle, New Beer, and City Swiggers. FYI liquor stores are prohibited by law from selling beer here. As for what you can get here that's good year round and not distributed to the West Coast: Captain Lawrence - Kolsch, Liquid Gold, IPA Founder's- Breakfast Stout, All Day IPA, pretty much anything you can find Troeg's - Nugget Nectar!!! Perpetual IPA. Hopback Amber Sixpoint - 3Beans, Bengali Tiger, Diesel Two Brothers - Domain Du Page Left Hand - Fade to Black, Chainsaw Ithaca - Ground Break Saison Goose Island - BCS Limited stuff is harder because truly limited stuff flies off the shelf in hours. You can still find some Founder's Bolt Cutter (especially in Brooklyn) and maybe some Goose Island BCS Coffee (again, Brooklyn). Not sure exactly what kind of limited stuff you're looking for.
