work trip out to Chicago this week, is there anyplace near midway or downtown that has 10% on to try? Other great local beers I need to hit other than the well known ones?
I also know of one place that has the 19% on tap, only place that I've seen. Blarney Stone in Oak Forest, a suburb about 10 miles straight south Midway.
Just be sure to not trust those listings completely without calling first. I know at least a few of those don't really have the 10% version.
Growler fills? In Illinois? Not legally, unless they brewed the beer on site if memory serves me right.
Also it looks like a bunch of places have the 5% listed under the 10% since they are selling it in 6 packs. I just want to try it (and 19% if its around but I wasn't hopeful for that). I will be in town on Friday so will check beer menus/ untappd then but if anyone knows of something else going on next weekend it would be great!
@DonSaleen747 Check out Lockdown in Ukrainian Village. They almost always have the 19% version on tap. Call ahead just to make sure though. 773-451-5625
I missed it last week but am headed back this week so I get one more shot. I am staying near Millenium park for the weekend and then moving to a hotel near midway during the week. I will check untappd and beermenus but if anyone knows of a place near my that actually has 10% or 19% please post it! I know the locals have better info than these apps do
Tuman's in Ukrainian Village also always has the 19.5% on tap and they make a killer float with it too. Not to mention the food there is supreme.
If a store claims to have the 10% in bombers, dat ain't twu. Those have been long gone. I've seen places near me say they have those, but it's just the 5.9% sixers, which are everywhere.
Ya I figured and we get that in CT. I don't even care to bring it home, I just want to try the stuff! Hopefully can find something near downtown tonight or close enough I can atleast take an uber too
