Do they distribute or are they brewery-only? Any place to find their distro map? I've heard good things, but would rather not drive three hours if there are closer stores that sell their beer.

They do not distribute, save for an occasional Zymatore keg at bars. The trip down is well worth it, as their tasting room is amazing and the beers are top notch.

I'll second what @OkayBrendan has said. OEC has really been stepping it up and is worth the trip if you're into sours.

Thanks for the information, everyone. I appreciate it. I do enjoy me a good sour. Maybe it's a trip to take.

We get them on tap periodically in RI. Always a treat when that happens.

Like them on FB and get on their email list. They have a number of events - I think the next is on 12/6 where you can sample the beers and other offerings from b. united. The cider and mead fest last weekend was excellent.

Unreal event. Literally amazing with one-off stuff and a few blends made specifically for that day, some 8 YEARS in the making

I managed to trade for a 750ml growler of the Experimentalis W/ peaches aged in Pedro Ximenez casks. Blew me away! I anxiously await trading to land the next barrel aged release that comes around.

The late harvest Zinfandel experimentalis with peach blew the Ximenez out of the water for me. Can't wait to try the upcoming experimentalis bottles.

They were the beer highlight of our CT trip. The beers are worth the drive. If you can't find the time to make the drive trade for some of their beer. After that you will make the time to drive down.

I had my first beer from these guys last week and was blown away. Looking to make a NEBCO, OEC, and pizza trip in the near future.

Hell yeah. I ended up with a few of their beers and really enjoyed them. It might be a while before I get down that way, but I think a trip will happen eventually.

I've got the Braggot in the cellar, no particular reason other than the label says to drink as a dessert. Figured I'd wait until good friends come around and pop it after a nice dinner.

While not as good (yet, IMO) Black Hog is 5 minutes from OEC, in the NEBCO direction, and certainly worth a stop along the way.

Black Hog is good though- been seeing more and more of their beer on tap. I dig the Granola Brown.

yeah, black hog is solid too. and stubborn beauty. super cheap and not the same madness as some of the other spots. stubborn I also like bc it's close to tons of awesome food and elis if you want a good tap list usually.

I went to both OEC and Black Hog this past weekend. I must say not a fan of the OEC sour beers. Just my personal taste. But the Black Hog Barley Wine and Nitro Stout are awesome. They have some of their Barley Wine aging in burbon barrels that have 2 more months to go before they open them. Can't wait to try that.
