I received confirmation that this was released in bottles. Has anyone seen this in stores? I looked at the Belmont Station new arrivals page and it isn't there, but someone in Seattle reviewed a bottle already.

I would love to get my hands on a bottle of this!

I was at Logsdon on Saturday and saw a pallet-full of Oaked Bretta cases (also lots of cases of Fresh Hopped Seizoen), all 750s. I know that they self-distribute; when I asked about when they'd be in stores, the answer was 'very soon'.

It's showed up in at least one place in Seattle. Very limited, though.

I know that it came and went already at Beermongers. Wish I got one :slight_frown:

It was a small batch, and the fact that they spread it out to Washington and California didn't help matters. Our limited supply goes on sale at 5pm tonight when the Logsdon's Meet the Brewer starts. Limit one per person :slight_frown:

If it's any consolation, John (their sales/delivery guy) told me that they had brought in more barrels and there will definitely be more Oak-aged Bretta in the future, hopefully in larger quantities.

Damn I was hoping it would last till I was down there on Friday. If it's lurking around Portland anywhere and someone wants to send me a BM I would be eternally grateful.

Haven't cracked a bottle, but I thought it was awesome on tap.

I had some from a bottle that Chuck opened at the brewery last weekend. 'Oak' is subtle/smooth... my sample was only about 2-3 ounces, however, so not really enough to judge on. But I liked it a lot!

Of note, it was aged on oak chips, not in barrels...

Literally watched the last bottle walk out of WF right in front of me.

From Chuck Porter, brewer at Logsdon. They don't (yet) have barrels (nor room to store them), so they're aging on chips for now... I'm 99% certain this is what I heard him say (of course, that leaves 1% uncertainty! :grimacing:)

This is my favorite kind of beer release: completely off my radar, no idea it even existed, just stumbled on it completely by accident. Walked over to Whole Foods during my lunch break today and picked up an Oak Aged Bretta, Fresh Hop Seizoen, and Far West Vlaming.

I just wish their special releases were a wee bit cheaper.

20$ is a decent chunk of change for my beer budget.
