    Don't you guys get 2x4 cans? Seems strange to be such a limited release at the festival.

    Good to know. I'll make the Melvin tap my first stop when I drop by this afternoon.

    Not yet. They couldn't support package release in both states until the current expansion is finished, so (from what I gather) they chose to launch WA first because Jeremy (the owner) has family and friends up there. Last I heard we're looking at Late fall for cans down here.

    You could go swimming in a pool filled with Melvin that's on the shelves up here. It's everywhere; grocery stores, beer stores, mini-marts, shady neighborhood markets, bars, restaurants, everydamnwhere. Seems like they coulda at least taken some of that packaged product and sent to (at least) PDX, if they didn't have enough for all of both states. @JouerAvecLeFeu , do you see it in the Couv?

    My closest 7-11 (on 50th in Wallingford) has Melvin cans. That was kinda cool to see.

    Don't have to look up here. I went into Safeway a couple days ago, to check out the draft list, and there was a huge display of Melvin 6ers, right in the "Buy Local" section, right next to Kulshan and Aslan 6ers. I know Melvin is going to build a brewery here, but they're not "local" yet. Good work Sound Beverage.

    The most exotic beer at the Safeway by my house is Deschutes and Widmer. The rest is InBev/SABMiller.

    Just to get things back on track...

    Despite the heat (and it's definitely a tad warm today), crowd looks to be comparable to what I saw yesterday when I did my run. No huge beer lines as of 2:00, but a pretty sizeable crowd for 2:00 on a Thursday I thought.

    I thought it seemed less crowded today than yesterday. Only change I saw was that they are no longer doing full pours in the International Tent. Apparently they ran through way more of the International beer than planned yesterday.

    Watch it, buddy. As a non-PDX resident, I'm tired of the "Portland this, Portland that" beer mentality. We drink beer in the rest of the state too. :slight_smile:

    weds definitely seemed busier then today.. was also surprised by the 2x4 dissapearing quick, assumed its been around now!

    highly recommend the intl tent! some great offerings, especially from Japan and tastings are only one token (past was two for a taster).

    Did you move from Bend? Do you lack beer?:wink:

    I've mentioned before, that the Melvin beers don't generally push my buttons, so I don't think you're missing out. But, I suppose, you are entitled to make your own mistakes. Go forth with my blessings.

    And, perhaps when you Oregonians start to get Melvin, you'll be enamored with as much as Washingtonians are, and that will leave all the excess Barley Browns available for shipment to Hamsterham.

    That's his job now... not that it wasn't before... but he knows a lot more now. Lol

    @John_M
    Said hi today, but you were on a mission, didn't even look up when I patted you on the back. Determination!

    @OregonHopmonster
    Saw Dale on my way out but missed you.

    I was a bit disappointed by the international tent... anyone else?

    Oh, and the bfna tent was great! If I knew I could win a ticket, I never would have bought one!... yeah, I would. But rob, I guess you took that last XL grayish shirt. She dug for me, but couldn't find one. :angry:

    Damn, my apologies for being so unfriendly. It was pretty crowded today I thought, and I spent a lot of time trying to avoid the inebriated. Maybe it was the heat, but it seemed to me that the level of drunkeness was significantly higher today than yesterday. Still had a good time, but I was pretty surprised by the size of the crowd for a Thursday afternoon.

    Me toof. It was a bit crowded. The pours were short and the lines were a bit long, but not too bad. No more than 5 minute wait. I had my 2 year old with me, so I wasn't a drunk ass... just a regular ass. We seemed to spend the majority of the time around bfna, and the band.

    Wow you guys weren't kidding, that was the busiest Thursday I've experienced at OBF! Got there just after 6 and they were out of at least 6 or 7 beers. Didn't try a bunch but Sunriver's was my favorite. Anyone try the pesto beer?
