O'Brien's Event Tonight (8/10)

    Who's hitting this up?

    On Friday night we are going to pull out all of the stops for a super mega hoppy beer night. I am expecting to have on tap: Alpine Duet, Nelson, Pure Hoppiness, the new 25th Toronado Anniversary Double IPA, Super IPA - the New Belgium/Alpine Double IPA collaboration, Societe Apprentice, Pupil and Dandy and hopefully a keg of Kern River JO IPA. I have at least one other special surprise to tap that you will find out about next Friday.


    I'll be there drinking the "Double Nelson."

    It won't tap out. We're not talking PtY here ( I am sure the DN will be better anyway like 20 other IPA's ). No hype on this one.

    You'll be fine. The later the better even. I won't be there till around 10. I've done this for a lot of OBriens crazy Fridays. No crowds. Beer still on.

    I'll probably be there around 5. The work crew here tends to get lazy after 4 on Fridays and starts filing away to O'brien's.

    What's the vibe like at O'Brien's? I actually haven't been yet. Only been in SD for three months and mostly have been holing up at Toronado and Pizza Port.

    Strip mall. Sort of a dive bar. Not a great destination per se but the tap list is always A+ with multiple Alpine IPAs on tap daily, special event or no. If you're fortunate enough to grab a table out front with a group of friends, it might as well be Heaven. :slight_smile: See you tonight!
