Seriously doubt the youngster is going to support a bottle share there.

If anyone knows the people at out of the park, can someone call and confirm if we can do it? They are in Anaheim which is pretty central for OC. Once we have a place that will let us, we can then work on a date.

I'm in Aliso Viejo and am down for a bottle share. Have tons of Bruery releases plus some Dark Lords, Parabolas, etc. that I'd be willing to share.

I'm actually meeting a friend at Out of the Park Pizza after work today. I'll ask and confirm. I'm sure he would be cool with it, as he's hosted multiple bottle shares in the past.

Edit: Assuming confirmation, would this location work @PeprSprYoFace? And if so, when?

Sounds like we should do 2 - North County and South County. No one wants to drive (or more accurately have someone pick them up) 45 minutes away.

I believe OOPP charges for corkage. I've had a small share there once and had to pay $3 a pop.

Iron Press at the packing district? I don't think the space there is accommodating. The fact that it's hipster paradise there, doesn't help either.

I think Valiant is the most central spot we can come up with any way. only like a 20-25 min drive aslong as there is no traffic for me

Just looking at this but I would be down for sure ... In OC five days a week anyways and can totally make it.

Valiant would be awesome! They have a nice open area, and it's not packed during the week around evening time. I guess what I'm trying to say is: I'm in! (depending date and time of course)

I'd love to go to a share in OC. I'm in Tustin, so the Valiant suggestion works great. I may not be able to go to anything in the next 2 weeks, but hopefully this becomes a recurring thing. Let me know how to stay in the loop for the future.

HH is too small and they would charge some type of fee since they overcharge for everything.

So for those of us that haven't been to a bottle share (ie me) how does it work? Lets say I bring 2 beers and 30 people show up. Obviously I cant accommodate 30 people. Do you trade pours for the beers you want to try? Sorry if I'm overthinking this.

yeah you just share your bottle with whoever wants some. I would bring like a 4oz taster glass and you will get like 2-4 oz of anyone you walk up to with an open bottle or whatever is in ice

Show up, put bottles in ice chest (if there is one), bust out a 4oz taster glass and start tasting beers. Biggest thing, don't be a dick with pours. 4oz from say a 375mL or even a 750 with 20ppl is just bad juju.

Are you saying they should be small pours? I kinda agree about the 375ml or 12 oz but a bomber or larger you should be able to get a decent pour. Hopefully people aren't really rating beers with less than 2oz. A little sip isn't going to give you a good idea what the brew is really like

Oh no, they shouldn't be small pours, just if from a small bottle. Again the # of ppl will definitely dictate the size of the pours and there may even be some that don't drink sours so when a sour is opened..even more for those that do.
