Anniversary weekend

 

Not sure if this is the best thread for this, but Alvarado St. will be releasing six cans at Mikkeller DTLA tonight, including Wave Jammer DIPA, which blows away most SoCal hazies by a mile. Also Haole Punch, an excellent kettle sour. You're welcome.

 

Where/what is Tony’s? I’m not familiar with it and didn’t see it on the prior pages.

 

Tony's Darts Away in Burbank. That post was from a few weeks ago, though.

 

Tony's is doing a "local hops" night tonight that should have a good tap list.

Also tonight, Beer Belly is doing an event with Mumford, Homage, and State.

Hermosillo is hosting HenHouse, SARA, and others.

Hopefully these other events are enough to keep some of you away from Mikkeller, which is where I plan to be after work

Homage has some good stuff. Currently drinking st tap room because I didn’t want to brave the traffic.

 

Definitely recommend getting a pour of Parabanilla while the keg is still on at The Propagator. Really good Parabola variant.

 

Not sure where to post this, bought the hazy Unity beer for la beer week and it was oxidated. The beer was not good and had a metallic taste. Wish I had saved my $6 and bought another of the west coast ipa which was actually good.

 

Anyone try that Lazy Dog Huckleberry haze yet?

$12 for a 4 pack of 19.2 oz seems pretty reasonable, even if it sucks you''re not out much.

 

Mohawk has themselves an elote pizza. It's not the 'dilla but I'll take it.

I second Mohawk’s food being so-so, but having a good beer selection. (Being down the street from Dodger Stadium inks their best quality... And the Boys in Blue are doing work tonight!)

 

I've only ever had their banh mi pizza and the chicken sandwich.

As a Vietnamese person, it was an abomination. As a person who eats pizza...it was fine.

Chicken sandwich was also fine but the fries were disappointing. I need my fries crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, I got none of that from their stuff.
