anyone know where they have really good food? Wife likes beer, but if I can find a place with great food she's more likely to go. Nothing like beachwood BBQ and burgers though.

 

I looked at the menu and it's basically bar food, all burgers fries, wings etc. Looks good, but was looking for something other than bar food if possible.

 

If LA proper works, Beer Belly has some of my favorite food. Not light by any means but I don't think I'd consider it bar food either.

 

Probably my favorite chicken sando in LA.*

Downtown LB has Beachwood, Bo-beau Roof Tap, Beer Belly and Congregation all near each other with good to great taplists and a wide variety of foods.

 

Oh yeah, I forgot there's a Beer Belly in Long Beach now.

Nice place and we go often. Beers aren't much, but the food is amazing.

 

I'll have to check out Beer Belly I've done Beachwood so many times they put me on the payroll lol...

 

They have a tik bar, that’s sort of a secret speakeasy type thing, in the back. It’s pretty cool

 

38 Degrees Monrovia has a pretty killer tap list right now. They still have a bunch of beers leftover from their anniversary party.
