@Nmelione is right. It is a dry town. passion vines usually has one of the 2 for growler fills. use carton's site to track down who gets their stuff. its up to date. call if they say they have cans. they dont last too long.

 

I am hoping this is a clever play at sarcasm...

Or could be a legitimate question about the closest place OUTSIDE of ocean city..

Or do you really not already know that Ocean City is dry..?

 

Also do you have fam up here? Why come from the beautiful beaches near you to NJ!

 

Where outside of Philly? Perhaps you can ask them to pick up some local brews from around them as well? ;]

 

Passion and Vines in Somers Point normally has at least one Carton offering but they did not have anything last weekend when I was in there. They have growler fills of rotating beers that you will have to check on what is currently pouring. Last weekend, I picked up a growler of Cape May The Bog, ther version of a summer shandy. I have never seen Kane bottles or cans at Passion and Vine. There is a Roer Wilco in what I assume is Ventnor City along the water after you exit on Exit 2. They have had Kane bottles there in the past but not for a long time. The other places recommended are normally Circle Liquor and Joe Canal's on Fire Road. Have never seen Kane or Carton there. A little bit of a drive up the Parkway but Tuckahoe and Cape May Brewing are both worth a stop. They do growlers of many of the beers they have on tap. Twyla at Tuckahoe is a good summer beer but they don't growler it.

Your best bet though is Passion and Vines in Somers Point on Route 9 in the same parkinig lot as the KMart.

If family is coming from Mt. Laurel they can probably find Spellbound IPA cans and growlers pretty easily. Perhaps even astop at one of the many Iron Hill locations for some solid growlers.

 

The cans of Carton are normally in the refrigerated case. Ask if you don't see them. It was obviously for a special release, but when I got the Coffee at P&V, they were in the back and they got them for you from the back as opposed to you taking them from the case. So, if you don't see them, ask for them. They almost seem to rotate between Boat & 07XX rather than having BOTH at the same time.

Good Luck. It is a good place and the tap beers there are normally pretty solid. You should find something you def like.

 

Carton 077XX Double IPA is on for growler fills at the Canals in Mt Ephraim. If your family is willing to stop there on their way down to OC they wouldn't be going that far out of their way to do so.

From my experience the beaches of NC are filled with people from VA and NJ (and elsewhere). The road system in NC seems to run north to south more efficiently than east to west and they people of NC seem to go to beaches in SC.

 

The ONLY place in Atantic county that has Carton in cans in White Horse liquors in Absecon. Passion vines usually has Carton in growlers only. Both are good at updating on beermenus.com. Kane starts canning head high in the fall. Hope this gets to you before your trip

 

You can grab crowlers of Boat beer for only 4.99 at Roger Wilco which is a screaming deal. We had a couple on the beach at Cape May this afternoon.
