I am driving down from Connecticut to Ocean City. I plan on stopping at DFH in ReRohobothhoboth. Does anyone have any recommendations for bottle shops or bars in the general area that have a good beer selection? Thanks and Cheers!
in rehoboth, pickled pig pub always has super stuff on draft and bottle. it is on route 1, next to one of the outlet sections. in town, which is where dogfish is located, is also henlopen city oyster house, which always has good beer and a great bottle list! i love dogfish, incredible beers, but the food at the brewpup is ok-good. the food at the other two is great-plus! as for a store, check atlantic liquors on route 1. easy in and out, right on a corner. great beer, wine and liquor selection. sorry, i cannot speak as much about ocean city proper. i would recommend hitting abbey burger bistro. my wife and i will be there in about a month, cannot wait for some time off work! have fun man!
Bringing anything good from Conn? Lol If looking for shops in OC, it's a dry town... No alcohol served anywhere! Few bottle shops over the bridge: -Passion Vines in Somers Point -Bootleggers in Northfield -Canals in EHT(2 locations) Hit me up if you looking to sip
My only suggestion is to stay away from OC Brewing co. Assawoman is marginally better but also has a nice lineup of guest beers. The view on the deck is spectacular.
Try to stop by Burley Oak if you can. It's in Berlin, about 5-6 miles west of OC off Rt 50. Best brewery in MD, you won't be disappointed!
The Taphouse (3 locations 4th and 9th on the Boardwalk and 45th Bayside) usually very good taplists, at least for OC. THe food isn't gourmet, but solid barfood. I go to at least one of the location every time I'm down
