Best I've gotten was what looked like wadded up civil engineering drawings that mapped out the drainage system of some area. Also got an invitation to Pete's graduation party in Iowa for the previous week. I live in Oklahoma and the box came from California. Also I have no idea who Pete is.

I recently got a box that had 3 Diapers used as padding (thank god they weren't used).

A bit OT, but I always thought I went out of my way on trades (never had anything broken) but a few guys I trade with look like they must literally spend an hour packing everything. I've even had the same trader overnight a huge heavy box to me. BA's are some of the most generous people I've dealt with (and I'm on a lot of different forums)

I once received a box with several smaller stuffed animals used as padding. My kids got a kick out of them.

Well I'm sure some people would call it odd, but i call it flawless, i pack every bottle with a shirt rolled around it and also use shirts for space takers in my boxes. It kills the sound of sloshing and i have never had a bottle break. If they wear the shirts, give them away, use them for garage rags i don't care i figure most people think its real cool to get 25 awesome shirts and a box of beer. I guess this is great …. if you have an unlimited supply of new, cool, liquor shirts.
Im sure everyone of my trade partners can attest.

Not the weirdest because of packing materials, just the opposite, kinda. Got an exception from FedEx that a box coming I knew to have six bottles and 1 growler, had sustained damage but was gonna be delivered. It came in an 18X18 and when I opened it there was only a growler, no bottles, and about 2 square feet of bubble wrap not wrapped on anything, just loose in box as was the growler, which must have been rolling around in there. Basically NO packaging.

I have had bottles wrapped up/packaged in an old towel that someone probably used to dry off with after a shower. That was strange for sure.

One Package packed with pool swimming board probably for kids. My first trade had blank Cards Against Humanity Cards thrown in.

From Texas? I think I have traded with that BA. Double box, with stuffing? Safest packaging I have ever received, great trader.

I bought a basic yoga mat as it was cheaper than one of the standard places to buy bubble wrap. Just needed a stanley knife/blade and was good for 9 large format bottles.

    That was me. Lol.

I'm all out of stuffing from that giant stuffed animal unfortunately. Was great while it lasted:grinning:

I had a long week of work and was setting up trades one week. Before I realized what I had did, I had 3 trades I had all promised to go out on the same day which I had an 8:00am meeting. It was about 11:00pm the night before and I was so beat from work I forgot I had to pack everything to go out the next day. So, I scrambled around in the garage and ran out of bubble wrap after my first box.

I looked around and saw I had 2 rolls of paper towels and some empty beer six packs. I wrapped each beer with paper towels, but it didn't provide enough cushion. I knew layers was the key. So, I wrapped a beer in paper towel, then rolled up an empty six pack, then paper towels, then empty six pack, then paper towels and taped it up. I did this for each beer for my remaining two shipments going out. The rolled six pack and the paper towel layers provided excellent cushion. I dropped one of the boxes (intentionally) from above my head to see if it would survive.

I don't know if I'm picturing this correctly, but if so, that is bloody hilarious.

I just shipped this out. It always makes me nervous having glassware floating around in a box with heavy-ass bombers.

I have always been tempted to do this myself, but I haven't quite worked up the cojones.
