Am starting to see Black Citra floating around on shelves. Makes me happy. These guys started super small...brewed some fantastic beer, and as they got more popular, it was harder and harder for me to get their beer. Did I cry? Did I bitch? Did I flog my dolphin a bit more? 1 of the 3, yes. Now the beers are on shelves, on tap in bars, and people are really digging them. Freaking great. Go Odd Side!

I've had 9 bottles of Mayan Mocha since it came out, and 8 bottles were spectacular while one just tasted like a rotten pepper and had that "slurry" you speak of. I will continue to buy and drink the crap out of this stuff though. Easily my favorite "shelf" beer.

As the nearest small brewery to me, I certainly am going to continue to drink their beer, just hoping they continue to improve their bottling process. I've wasted close to $15 on undrinkable beer. Perhaps I will follow up with the brewery itself?

If the bottles stay upright that sediment will stay at the bottom of the bottle.. my Mayan growler fills have about a quarter inch everytime..if u drink much of that "slurry" you'll be farting up a storm.

I have gone through at least a case of Mayan Mocha and so far haven't seen much other than a small amount of sediment in mine but it tastes just fine just not visually appealing. Cannot believe someone would find it to be undrinkable because of a little sludge at the bottom?

You folks better stay away from Orkney's Skull Splitter if you are thinking that some sediment makes a beer undrinkable that beer looks like a snow globe in an earthquake.

This would have easily filled a shot glass, certainly not a "little sludge" on the bottom. It wasn't floating around in the glass as little chunks of sediment but settled right on the bottom and I was caught a bit off guard when I neared the bottom of my glass, beer was fine until then...never said it was "undrinkable", did I?

Oh I thought you had claimed $15 in undrinkable beer? My bad must still be hazy from Friday. A shot glass full would be unappealing to me but thankfully I haven't seen a single example of that much sediment yet. Would definitely take that up with the folks at Oddsides.

I was also referring to a bad 6 pack of your Citra Pale Ale as well.

just finished my first Black Citra. Not my favorite style (Cascadian Dark or whatever), but pretty tasty. Nothing wrong with the beer, but probably won't buy another sixer. Nice Citra notes with some good roast. Another fine offering.

Is the abv the same as normal citra? probably is, but doesn't really feel like it, feels less.. imo.
