Spelling error aside, I'm pretty geeked about this one. Per OddSides on Facebook:

"The one released this past winter was just regular Mayan Mocha (6% abv) aged in Bourbon Barrels for a few months. The Imperial version is is 9% and aged for 8 months. Should be released on The Day of the Dead (October 31) at the pub in bottles and on tap!"

Considering the only thing that lacked from the regular version for me was the thin mouthfeel, this one should be a spot on winner!

100% agreed. That, and the bourbon was a bit lacking, but considering an imperialized version with longer time in the barrel, this (hopefully) will be amazing.

The other one was not an Imperial nor was it 9%. So it's a little different. Aged longer as well.

Yeah I'm excited for our release of this !! We also have our Hipster Brunch Stout (Stout aged in bourbon barrels with coffee, maple syrup, and bacon) coming out I think on Black Friday along with the last release of Morningwood. Plus some other really cool stuff coming out on tap and in bottles this winter.

Unless this version really tones down the hit-you-over-the-head levels of cinnamon, I'll skip over this with ease. The regular BBA Mayan Mocha was sickeningly cinnamon-y, to the point where myself and 2 others could not finish our bottles.

Looking forward to Hipster Brunch Stout though. I tried a variation of it at Ashley's 2 months back with chocolate, and it was pretty good. Can't wait to try Morningwood for the first time too
