I really want to go back when I can fully taste.
The only time I've been there was when I probably only had about 30% of my sense of smell due to allergies or something.

But even then I was pleasantly surprised by the beers I saw there.

I really loved their previous 750ml barrel-aged releases like the Saison and Taming The Savage Heart, but haven't been too impressed by much at the new brewery. They likely need more time to get their barrel program into swing though.

I go weekly for a reason.

I am also awaiting their barrel program, but I fully expect it to be top notch.

Good beers, good pizza and if you are a parent, good games to occupy the kids.

When I went I was expecting it to just be a knock off of Jester King.

I was pleased to see cleaner beers along with the saisons and funkier beers.

I hope they continue to have a breadth of styles once they get the barrel program running. I like sour/funky beers but not all the time.

I'll probably be going back this weekend because it's very close to my in-laws house.

I've never loved a pale ale so much. Wolf Shirt, I miss you. Call me sometime.

Taming the Savage Heart is one of the best non-adjunct Texas sours I’ve had. It’s up there with Ananke. Expect great things from them. Hell, their Saison was amazing.

Wolf Shirt needs to be made again.

I went to Austin in September or early October and went to Oddwood (like I've been doing most times I've been going down).

This time though I had the Rockwood beer and really enjoyed it. It was an interesting lagerlike beer with some interesting flavors from the wild yeast.

I'd really be interested to see more like that. I don't know about something like a Schwarzbier with it but probably something like a Vienna lager.
