Anyone ever had this with a year+ ? I know that a lot of American wild ales are better fresh but am curious if this one in particular gets any better with age or is better fresh. I've had it fresh before and thought it was good and am considering getting a second to cellar.

It is not "better." It is still, however, very nice. JMO

I had the 2011 recently just after tasting 2012. I got much more oak with less fruit from the '11 and less oak and more fruit with '12. Maybe difference in vintages? Regardless, I loved '11 fresh, and was disappointed after the year. I want that fruity sharpness from fresh version.

I think this is one of those that might be dissapointing after a year, but fantastic after 4 or 5 or even longer. Short term aging is for stouts IMO.
