So Odell released an oktoberfest in six-packs this year, but they must have made a tiny batch of it. I feel like I saw it on a shelf once, thought "hey, I'll get that next time", and then never saw it again. The beer finder on their website lists a bunch of stores I've already checked to no avail. Has anyone seen any six-packs recently in Denver? Alternatively, anyone know if they going to make a second batch in 2015?

Saw it at Grapevine last week I believe.

Not anymore. Isolation has hit the shelves.

I saw it at either Applejack or Mile High. I will check when I visit this week.

Will scan the southern store shelves on my lunch break to see if any is still around.

I got a sixer of it a month or so ago, and I have to say it was the worst Oktoberfest (by a long-shot) that I've had this year. I didn't enjoy it at all. It was very grassy as I recall, and rather thin-bodied (not that I'm expecting to drink sludge, but this was watery). It was too hoppy imo, and not in a good way. If you see it on the shelves, do yourself a favor and get the Left Hand Marzen. It is much better.

I'll keep my eyes peeled. I picked up a sixer in early September so I haven't really been paying much attention to if it's still around.

While my thoughts aren't quite as damning as @FarmerTed, I too was underwhelmed. I expected much better from Odell.

Thought I saw it Saturday. I'll run by the stores again.

I agree with @FarmerTed here. It didn't taste or feel like an Oktoberfest to me; I was really excited to try it and felt pretty let down.

Oktoberfest is also one of my favorite styles. I've tried almost every bottled American version I know of, and every bottled German version we get. This is one of the worst IMO.

I think that was my biggest issue. It was a perfectly fine beer. No major flaws or anything. But it just didn't have any 'Oktoberfest/Marzen' characteristics to it. Tasted more like a Vienna Lager or other amber lager.

For anyone that had it - is it brewed in the burnt orange/heavy caramel malts style (Left Hand, Sam Adams, Paulaner, etc.) or the more modern pale variety? Just curious. A few years ago almost nobody made the modern ones. Now they're starting to pop up here and there.

I don't think it fit either style. To me, it was more like a homebrewed pilsner that came out a little 'dark' for unknown reasons. It was like something Justin might have brewed for a brew-casters challenge on the BN Session.

It's more the modern pale variety (of which the Sierra Nevada version is great). I would never claim to be a German styles expert (far from it), but calling it more of a Vienna Lager seems right on.

Seemed way too sweet to me... Was excited to try it because its Odell, but it was one of the only misses I've ever had from them. That being said, it was ok.
