    The Meddler Returns in February!
The Meddler Oud Bruin Ale is a crafty concoction, comprised of several generations of brown ales, barrel aged and blended.
"In 2012, Meddler was very well received, so we wanted to bring it back for those who didn't get a bottle the first time around... and to restock our cellars for purely selfish reasons," said Eli Kolodny, our QA/QC Manager. "We blended sour barrel aged beer with fresh beer to strike a delicate balance. Tan head gives way to a deep mahogany body. Notes of sweet caramel and dark cherry are brought to life with a tart finish and held together with a healthy tannin structure from the barrels."
Available in 750ml cork and cage bottles beginning mid February.
    8.6% Alcohol by Volume

This is very good news to me!

I did not have this beer on its past iteration, but we need more out bruins. Excited to try this out.

Hit the release for this one last time and was a little underwhelmed. Tried it again a few months later and pulled a 180. Will definitely be buying a bottle or two of this one. Glad to hear its returning.

Now, if only Avery could re-release Oud Floris...

Yeah. I posted my review based on my first bottle. It turned out to be way better with some age on it.

I enjoyed this a lot when it first came out. I'm very excited to try the new batch. I actually have 2 bottles from the past release in my cellar. Time to bust one out.

Since we are speaking of bringing back part releases.... Saboteur please!

Vintage Odell corks are getting pretty dangerous these days. I saw a meddler cork hit a 40ft brewery ceiling no problem in the summer of 2015.

Meddler is delicious. It has came along so well, such a great oud bruin! I think Friek has been declining on depth and amount of fruit with each vintage, hopefully Meddler can stick true to it roots!

I really liked the first one; hope this sucker is the same price.

The newest batch of Friek is awesome. I had it on tap 2 weeks ago and it impressed everyone.

This was the first sour/wild ale I ever had back in 2012 and it blew me away. Excited to revisit with a little more knowledge behind me.

Crazy to think how unusual that beer was in 2012. Outside of a few items (Jolly Pumpkin, RR, and locally at Trinity) there wasn't much like Meddler when it came out. I was overwhelmed in a very good way.
I'll definitely buy it again, just to see how my memory of it holds up.
