I'd say 930 to 10 to be safe...bring a chair and a few beers to crack

Had a blast at the Halloween Cider & Meade event. Really great crowd and staff. I'm looking forward to the release on the 14th.

We were the 3 dudes with the table that left shortly after counting and re-counting the line. On the bright side, our leaving meant three other people were able to get their beers. We went to 2R/Nebco and had a blast.

Doesn't sound like you were in to OEC beyond the trade value. You're loss.

perhaps a gentler way to say that is that one of the beers I enjoyed most on Saturday was Salsus Singularis which they had plenty of to sell to everyone. OEC also tried to spread the love which hopefully mean you can put some faith in them next time. People further back in the line were taking advantage of the experimentalis on draft too so I think people did not totally lose out. They really did try to make it a good situation as best they could. @Burntfoot I am hoping you managed to get to one of the other releases and enjoy some good beer.

Speaking as someone who did the same thing as Mr. Foot, I'm not sure why there's the need to jump to these conclusions on what was a pretty innocuous post..

We all love the experimentalis beers and haven't traded a single one of them. We've supported the brewery since the first day they opened and will continue to do so. These beers are staple of our holiday get-togethers and summer shares. Good to see OEC made the adjustment for fans of their beer who decided to stick around.

There was a lot to do Saturday and we didn't want to put all our eggs in one basket to get shut out of one of the things we were looking to snag, so we moved our party elsewhere and played board games and had a great time at Two Roads and NEBCo. Glad to see that this worked out for just about everyone involved.

I have been to OEC many times... this was my first bottle sale. I did not see the purpose to wait 2.5 hrs in line to most likely not get what I traveled to get. I counted and said good for them and I will come back on a non bottle release day and sit in the tasting room and sample some amazing brews. I also could not stay around all day and take advantage of the tap list since my nephews bday was that afternoon. Next bottle release I hope to have a clear day to enjoy!
I would of not traded any of the stuff away ... @pehodges I do not need to justify that to you cause i am sure you always keep everything you get :stuck_out_tongue:
Also since you are such a nice person you wanna share the love and mail me a bottle of each?.. it would be much appreciated
Like I said I am so happy for OEC!

the raspberry is blaze. I'm gonna crack one with a batch 1. I was one of the lucky. no kegs of the o.g. too bad bc the original peach was ridiculous after it sat awhile. one of the owners told me he didn't even have a bottle of it still. I wasn't as big a fan of the new zymatore but lots of good stuff. the new salsus was really good and a bargin in 750s for there. and that'll probably still be there next week I'd guess. though I took off for a birthday party too, so who knows. but those weren't a set number like the others.

Burnfoot- apologies for jumping on your post. It was just my knee-jerk (emphasis on the jerk) response to socializing for four hours with (mostly) real fans anxious to get the new beers and (the others) a minority of folks who were charming, knowledgeable, well connected but clearly, and unabashedly, there to scoop up the rare release for trade bait. From one of those that saw my allotment cut from three to two bottles on the morning, I say "Good on you- OEC". It was a class decision to help spread the love to those further down the line. There were plenty of reasons to stick it out if you had the time, even if you were further down the line- as I remember there were about eight different bottles on sale, including (beyond the four beers named in the release) their regular offering (Bruneis, Albus, ..), their previous release Salsus Singularis bottles without limit, growler fills of De Dolle Stille Nacht (growlers of Stille Nacht- the concept makes my head hurt and the bottle will make my head hurt), and the tasting room started pouring all of the beers at 11:30 with free-flowing glasses of Experimentalis and the other releases. (Oh, and the bottle share wasn't bad either.)

And it was wicked cold, and I can understand not wanting to freeze your butt off at the back of a huge line with uncertain outcome. RE: sending you my OEC bottles- as my wife likes to put it, you'll have to pry them from my cold, dead hands. Would love to meet up at some point and share- with one bottle to drink and one to cellar, the offer is good for quite a while.
