Did the first one last winter.

Walked in. Paid. Walked out. Total time, 4 min.

Always super efficient and painless. All previously released bottles have been stellar. Hard to go wrong with Off Color.

Also, for those not in the know, isn't Pipeworks bottle shop a block away from Off Color which would make this a super efficient beer run and give you an excuse to hit both places?

Edit: Okay, that reservation system is one of the smartest things I've seen from a beer release. Cheers to Off-Color. Also, if you are a fan of a good beer done well, Papillon is a must have. The pour I had at Fobab haunts my dreams.

I've done one of their sour releases - the reservation system works amazingly well and the staff is incredibly efficient. I'm not going to this one - but I'd recommend you hit it up if you want the beers. Also, @HouseofWortship makes a great point about Pipeworks dojo being right around the corner - worth a stop in if you are at Off-Color.

    You guys are the best!

I thought the reservation system was excellent and am psyched to check out Off Color on Saturday.

I'm planning a sort of trifecta (my wife is out of town this weekend): Off Color, Pipeworks dojo, then Chaos Day to round it out.

I will be broke, but so happy.

Cheers, all! Thanks for the awesome advice.

I will be doing the same thing! My wallet is already trying to tap out.

Excellent! Did you get an 11:00 spot at Off Color?

I also presume you'll be part of the meet up at Chaos Day. I'll be wearing a Cubs hat, taller guy.

That narrows it down to about 25% of the male population in Chicago.

I went for the 12:00 spot just because I didn't really want to just wait around before going to the Ram.

Ill be there with a gray sweater and black glasses.

If someone cracks either of their bottles today, if you wouldn't mind posting how they are it would be greatly appreciated.

Gf and I are both going. Trying to decide whether to do one or two allotments.

They didn't happen to have samples at the brewery, did they?

Heading up there shortly. We have 1:00 reservations, fwiw.
    Allocation sounds very liberal..!

Any recommendations for parking around there?

I actually parked at the Pipeworks Dojo, then walked over.

No samples at the brewery, but quick and efficient in and out.
