    Where: Ebenezer's Pub (of course)
    When: August 23rd-30th
Why? : You need another Farmhouse Fest in between other Farmhouse fests and the Cyclorama, which we will help prime you for.
Well, it's that time of year again folks. Our major event(s) of the year. So far we have Oude Beersel, Evil Twin, Oxbow, Allagash, In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst coming as guests and we're working on a few more too. We'll obviously be pouring copious amounts of the beers these folks produce, along with a huge accompaniment of very sturdy and ballsy beers by DeStruise.
Also this year, we're going to add a very unofficial event to the list as well. So, here's the itinerary so far:
August 23rd: Prefest. Tents pop up, firewood gets thrown on the pit, the dude with the smoker shows up, Bill and Tom setup the campers, Mike is running around Sharing brews and my wife is telling me to move faster.
August 24th: My wife is now looking for me all day. Its my birthday ( a big one), and The Night of The Great Thirst is happening tonight. Live music, some fireworks, Belgian food, and an International Lambic and Gueuze event will make your night right. This is going to be a shit show.
August 25th: Belgian Breakfast from Belgium Chefs. $10 without beer, and $15 with beer (you'll be happy and amazed with this option.) Maybe around noon...is our unofficial off premises homebrew competition thingy. Way back in the forest primeval, I'd love to try some of your homebrewed concoctions in a mini homebrew contest. Winner gets to brew their beer at our new brewery and receives a trophy. Maximum of 2 beers per contestant.
The rest of the week will include more debauchery, but for the moment, the above will do.

We've got a crew coming up for the dinner and fest. Can't wait to be drinking some stellar brews at this famed watering hole of New England with some great people. My cooler will be filled with cellar gems ready to crack. And Chris, we will find you when the Blabaer gets opened!

Hey Chris, any word on the dinner menu yet? Guest chef?

The dinner menu is half way complete, but the past few years we have decided not to release the menus online for a variety of reasons. Our guest chef once again will be Christophe Pelfrene from DeBistronoom lore and a disciple of the great chef: Pierre Wynants ( I hope I spelled his name correctly). So, if you enjoyed the dinner the last couple of years, then you know what to expect .

8/24 is my birthday as well... hmm, might just have to treat myself to a little Belgian birthday gift.

Please don't release it; I just get depressed that I can't go every time I see one.

Just picked up Cheese Number 3 for the Dinner - a truffled sheep cheese that got away from me 2 years ago - not this time! Persistence pays off. Three down, one more to go...

I'm planning on heading up Friday afternoon with my tent. What's the proper etiquette for what to bring? Should I bring food? I don't have many rare bottles to share. This would be my first time, so I'm not sure how this all works. Everyone hangs out at the bar Friday night, and then out in the field at night?

Pretty much you hang out at the bar every night till you empty your wallet. Then go and hang at the fire till 3:30-4 in the morning. You don't need to bring anything rare. Just something nice to share. If you don't have anything good there is an awesome beer store 15 minutes down the road. But realistically if you don't bring anything it's not a big deal. There is so much beer flowing that it doesn't matter. Food is up to you. Cheers man.

What's the awesome beer store down the road? Was in Stoneham/Lovell earlier this summer and couldn't find anything decent.

Possibly the Good Beer Store in Fryeburg? They have a great selection.

Bummer, you and the Canadians at our table gave me some good pointers about visiting Belgium last year and I was going to thank you. I guess it won't be in person, so thanks! I'll raise a ridiculously old beer to your health.

Good god Chris! That is an insane Struise list. Is the tap truck coming from Europe? You are insane bro.

This will be my 7th year and every year it keeps getting better. I'll be there Friday and Saturday with Liquid Snake. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I can't recommend this fest highly enough for the beer, food and the crowd.
