For those who have been in prior years, is there any difference between afternoon and evening sessions in terms of the availability of beers?

I have been to the last 3 evening sessions. There is not suppose to be a difference, all the breweries are suppose to provide the same beers for both, but I have found there are always a handful that do not make it to the second sessions.

It definitely doesn't mean "No Bottles". Whatever the required bottles for submission were before were doubled as well. I don't know offhand what that amount would be.. I'd imagine very similar in volume to 5 and 10 gals respectively though.

I'm guessing with the doubling of the volume requirement this will be less of a problem than in past years (have had the same disappointment with evening session). However, I think the doubling also will mean some less exotics.

Doubling will allow for a fair split of beer between the two sessions (Instead of guessing when to cut off 1 5 Gal keg).

However, double the attendees will mean the beer has the potential to tap out just as fast.

If any one has 1-2 afternoon tickets that they are willing to swap for evening session tickets I will make it worth your while...Backwoods, Bourbon County, Dark Lord if need be.

Anyone have any advice on who to speak to about transferring tickets from someone who can't make it to the event?

Thank you for contacting Brown Paper Tickets! You are okay to give your ticket to someone else - the name on the ticket does not need to match the attendee's, so as long as they bring the ticket with them, they'll be fine.

Might be better off taking the Orange line to Ashland and walking the ~1 mile distance to the venue (or hopping on an Ashland bus and cutting that walk in half).

I'd call them by now if you haven't seen anything. What session did you get? I'd love to meet the man behind the high 5s

Afternoon session, or you'll find me at the Very Mad Cow release. Or WLV.

Also: I just found out that I'm an idiot (I know some of you have already come to that conclusion); so it turns out that there are no physical tickets. The USPS ship method is redeemed via mobile.

There is no physical ticket on its way to your mailbox. Here is what you do:

    1) login to Brown Paper Tickets

    2) Go to Purchase Reminders, click View

    3) See section on the right titled Delivery. From here you can text the ticket to your phone/your friends phone. Beyond that, I'd say email Brown Paper Tickets or give them a call at 1-800-838-3006.

Damn, didn't know there would be twice as many people this year. I knew the venue change should help with supporting it but hadn't heard that big of an increase.

Thinking about this more, in light of the significant increase in attendees (presumably due to the relatively recent explosion in craft beer) and the change from a 5 gallon min to 10 gallons (as stated above, likely to lead to fewer exotics available), I am curious as to what organizers thought needed to change about the format of FoBAB for the past few years that required modifications to be made to this year's event? While I have complete confidence that the event will still be a lot of fun /very well organized / executed, etc., if it ain't broke, why 'fix' it?
