Not sure about the list of breweries but last year Goose Island announced their lineup about 11 days before the event.

 

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but do we need to bring physical tix or will they have doe sort of bar code scanner for electric tix? Mine are on my phone, and I am wondering if I need to print out something to bring with me or I just show them the e-ticket on my phone at the door.... I just not want any issues when it does time to get my barrel aged drink on.

 

I don't know if they have a scanner but without a doubt I'd say the best way to guarantee no issues would be to bring a printed copy.

I have a question though. Another guy sold me his ticket since one of his buddies backed out im guessing but his name is still on the ticket...can i still use this ticket?

 

I have talked to both BrownPaperTickets and IMBIBE and they have both indicated that this will be no problem.

GSP fight its that night also. Prob going to the city to watch it and grab some food to sober up. That is if I can still comprehend anything.

They have it at both of their brewpubs.... I am hoping that they distribute soon...i know they are hitting 4 counties in wisconsin........guess the Chicago market is too big for them

 

Chicago is getting distro as well, but no sours will be bottled until maybe 2013

We will be staying at the Chicago South Loop Hotel using the ICBG FOBAB discounted room rate. Some have expressed concern over the neighborhood where this hotel is located. We will be taxi-ing to and from the event so I'm not too worried. It has four stars on TripAdvisor.

Reason to worry or just overblown concern?

 

Whoa, that's weird. Laffler says it's BCBS aged in barrels from the bottom of the Heaven Hill rickhouse (spirit aging warehouse), and the barrel was covered in baudoinia compniacensis. Not sure what effect that would have on the beer though...
