Do they really age well though? - My 2012's were tasting pretty flat after New Years but then again....back home I drank them ASAP so I'm used to them fresh. Even Great Lakes says not to hold on to them because the spices really fall off after a month or so IIRC

Good to see that the beer heads in Texas know what Great Lakes is :-)

The spices do fall off. I'm just tired of spiced beer and probably will not be getting around to them until next season. I've got me a ST and GLBC hook up up north. And to keep the thread on track, he was my Founders hook up as well.

If I could get that side by side with Founders Porter I would die a happy man.

Looks like we're going to miss out on Doom and KBS since no bottles until May-forward.

Saw this and figured the timing was probably intentional. Looks like we're going to have to wait another year for a crack at some KBS locally....

I hope they do it up like Firestone Walker, since I was able to get some Sucaba on tap, and others were able to get a hold of the Sucaba/Parabola/Anniversary bottles.

All 6 of them in Austin...was a little ticked that a brewery the size of FW and with the production that they have they could only spare 6 bottles for the entire capitol of TX. Unless I was misinformed of course...

Yeah... 1 case of Anniversary (6 bottles). 2 cases of Parabola (24 bottles), 6 cases of Sucaba (72 bottles) is what I counted on my FW expedition.

Ahhh... BEK is handing Founders. Means Houston won't see shit until forever after other towns and will get smaller portions of limited releases.

I guess it's great we are getting it, but as a Houstonian don't expect anything remotely limited to be easy to find.
