Official SA Bishop's Barrel thread

WE shall see... I'll be there around 6. Have to bring the kiddo too. He did ask me what Petrol Station was the other day. Now he'll get to see.

 

Did somebody say DR12?! - I have a case of 6ers and 4 Bombers - I'm good to go I think however, you can never have too much of it. Let me know if you wanna trade anything for it.

I also know of quite a few places that'll have it - Once I secure my 6er of it, I'll spill the beans as well.

 

I'm already at Petrol no parking problem here.

Well there was some people inside, they sold me my beer now on to the rest of my day.

Lol, I guess I took it a bit too far with the picking up of the beer, but I'm also not waiting at Petrol right now lol. I will be there around 5 though, need to grab my allocation and go to class at 6. He'll I might even have a beer while I'm there.

 

I had a small sample of this at Freetail. It was good...hard to remember specifics as it was later in the afternoon and on the heels of Marshal Z and some barnyard funk..I was surprised that it was classified as a imperial stout..I thought it wasn't as viscous as that but the barrel was very tasty.

I'll swing by some places today and see if I can spot some for us DFW peeps

It is defiantly not as full bodied as other imperial stouts, or as much as I want it to be. Certainly an imperial stout with the amount of alcohol. I will agree with H0rnedFr0gs. The barrel works really well, everything is very well integrated. I don't want a huge viscous body, but just a bit more would be nice.

 

Looks like Whip In will have it in about an hour...according to their facebook post
