I once opened a beer that had all three it blew my mind at the amount of work that needed to package these things. If I recall it was some Honey Ale from Belgium in a Champagne bottle. It was corked, capped and waxed.

It was funny when I took the cap off and tried to pour and nothing came out. What type of Belgian sorcery was this?!

Albeit a higher cost, I wonder what the effectiveness doing all three would have on a beer in the very very long run.

I can understand why people are somewhat disappointed that the next BB is similar to #1. Though, I have read nothing that says this is the "same beer" as BB 1. It might be, but also could have different malts, a different hop rate, different barrels, different lots of stuff. Also, didn't BB 1 have molasses? I am willing to see what it actually is before I make any judgment.

Guess I need to hurry up and drink the two bottles I have. I haven't tried this beer yet, so I don't know what it tasted like fresh but I'm looking forward to trying it when I get back home.

Prepare for lots and lots of distinct "wood" taste - this is the only BBA stout where I can clearly taste the barrel itself.

We actually just push beer out of barrels using CO2. No pump necessary.

Based on what I've heard, you are right about at least one key ingredient that's different. They used a different yeast - the Saint Arnold house yeast.

Can't speak for San Antonio, but in Houston, any bar that does growlers was selling it to go.

im really surprised saint arnold is gonna continue to go head to head on release dates with karbach, or was it the other way around? i'm also surprised that they didn't do a sneak release today considering some places already have it in the back.
