I'm glad they didn't do a sneak release. I won't be home until Friday so this works out well for me.

Ya swung by and picked up a few BB2 from Petrol yesterday and they mentioned they already have a case of BB3 in the back. Tried to talk him into sneaking me a few.... Didn't work :-(

I actually had a BB3 last night. If memory serves from BB1, this one is a tad darker, seemed slightly thicker, but still on the thin side. Still a bit too sweet for my liking. And i like a little burn in my barrel aged beers. Especially when it is this fresh. But i got nothing here.

I guess I need to open another BB1 to make a better comparison.

That is a tough one. Hay Merchant in Houston sold them for $6. I know that is pretty much cost, so they basically are making nothing. $12-13 is about double, so on par, maybe even less than most bars mark up for other bottles. I have seen them for as much as $15. At a bar, I understand the mark up, if this was at a store, no way.

    Cost is actually around $3.75.

Don't think Hay Merchant are saints. ;)

Petrol's first batch went for $8, but last week was selling for $6.

Glad it's been useful. No need to buy me a beer though, it's really the Houston beer community that makes it work. I just threw together a super-simple spreadsheet. But if you insist...

Also just followed you on Twitter. Cheers!

Sorry lol, I meant On the 13th at 3pm.. I'm just saying they already have it in the back.

I went straight from looking at the google doc to replying..

"Facebook: Rumor has it that we will be getting Saint Arnold Bishop's Barrel 3 on Monday.
The rarest of the BB series and one of the smallest production St Arnold beers ever. We open at 3:00pm Monday..."

    sorry for the confusion.

I see what you're doing. You're going there to buy it all up before anyone else gets a chance! You're a crafty one, Mr Chow.

For the 2 prior BB releases, the wiki doc had a tab for non-Houston release details (mostly DFW, IIRC). I don't think they ended up being too useful though, since not enough info was added.

Long way of saying that, I don't know where to find release details for places other than Houston, but the wiki doc could help if enough people contribute.

Wish I knew when Nobi was going to get it... and does everyone on this list get it... Buffalo Wild Wings Bay Area... hmm that would be nice if they do. Boondoggles got BB1 for sure... but they aren't on this list.
