HEB on Mcneil and Parmer, bottled on 2/13/13, get it while it's hot!

 

Just confirming past DR bottles, my bottle of DR 5 & 6 obtained from TJModica were both great and the 5 was a star. Just an amazing brew..thank goodness for truly great regional BA's. he can confirm the conditions he stored them in but DAMN Gina they were tasty

I had one at Zax in Austin. Didn't ask about to-go, I had it there with lunch.

 

We are going to start selling it in the next week up at banger's. I snagged a few bottles down at craft pride the other day though.

I was able to have one at Lil Woodrows Heights yesterday. They still had two or three bottles left in the cooler.. also thanks to a couple of great people, I ended up with two bottles of BB2 at the house...

so if anyone wants to trade one a BB2 for a BB1 in Houston, I'd be happy to help you out. I'd like to age a BB1 for a while.

The taste is really good. It is very interesting and different. I didn't notice anything funky.. but you certainly get the chardonnay barrel in there. Lots of cherry smell, but not near as much in the taste. I think this might be interesting to age a few months also...

 

I sipped a BB2 last night. I thought it was a little much. The cherries and the barrel notes started getting a rather medicinal character, very much like Tussin.
