Don't fucking chase it then. You aren't entitled to each beer that gets released, and you certainly don't "Gotta catch 'em all!!!". Get what you can get and suck it up if you can't get it.

The latest about Bishop's Barrel No. 1:

    Style: Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout

    Date Brewed: December 29, 2011
    Date Racked: January 8, 2012
    Date Bottled: October 26, 2012
Beer style in bbl: Russian Imperial Stout
Type of Barrel: Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels
    No. of Barrels: 4
Cases Made: 948 (cases of 12 oz bottles)

    Kegs Made: 0
    Original Gravity: 1.084
    Final Gravity: 1.015
Alcohol: 9.1% ABV prior to barreling
    Bitterness: 49 IBU
Description: Pours a black color with a very light head that dissipates quickly. The nose is all bourbon and chocolate. The taste starts with a mix of spice with the bourbon and chocolate emerging and lingering through the finish. The light carbonation keeps the beer from becoming cloying, almost giving it a perception of lightness. A pleasant sipping beer with the bourbon both present but not overpowering as you work your way through the glass. Oddly easy to drink for a beer this strong.

The warmer this beer gets the better it tastes. We recommend enjoying between 55°F and 60°F. If you are going to age these beers, it is best done in a refrigerator, not at room temperature.

I wonder why they say age in a refrigerator and not room temp...

I age a ton of stouts at room temp.

I would think the obvious question would be... How is anybody going to get any to age?

This is true, but I think the idea was to drink it at the establishment.

I just hope no friend of a friend of a friend is letting people get a bunch of these and walk out the door.

A bar or restaurant could choose to set some aside. It's guidance for their accounts.

You can bet some places will be setting some aside, especially the ones with big coolers. Size does matter sometimes.
